The city car with a top speed of 51 mph will also have an off-board fast-charger.  The new setup will be available in May of this year offer a number of advantages according to the company including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Range increase from 48 to 75 miles<\/li>\n<li>Fast-charging off-board &#8211; 90% in 1 hr and complete in 1.5 hrs<\/li>\n<li>Regular charging reduced to 6 hrs<\/li>\n<li>20% less energy required for charging<\/li>\n<li>Lighter weight (15% less) and better acceleration<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The vehicle will be priced at ??15,795 ($23,300)<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"G-wiz li-ion article\" href=\"http:\/\/www.thegreencarwebsite.co.uk\/blog\/index.php\/2009\/03\/24\/g-wiz-l-ion-with-75-mile-drive-range-goes-on-sale-in-the-uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Learn more:  thegreencarwebsite.co.uk.com<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Comment:<\/strong> Since this city car is only one step above an LSV and has a price point not that far above higher end LSVs can Li-ion battery packs be that far behind for LSVs?  We reported earlier that Dynasty was <a title=\"Dynasty Li-ion article\" href=\"http:\/\/smallvehicles.wordpress.com\/2008\/11\/15\/dynasty-looking-to-offer-lithium-battery-pack\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">looking into this possibility<\/a>.
