New Delhi: Eicher Polaris (EPPL) has announced that all its vehicles along with their variants are fully compliant with Bharat State IV emission norms. In a bid to be future ready, EPPL has rolled-out its BS-IV compliant vehicles starting March ahead of the Environment Pollution Control Authority’s regulation and deadline of 1st April.
Eicher Polaris launched the Multix in June 2015 at the Kukas in Jaipur bridging the need gap in the market and also to build a new consumer segment in the Indian automobile industry. In its first year of launch, Multix was rolled out in 30 markets starting August 2015 and is now present in 13 states and over 70 markets. The company plans to expand its dealership network to over 150 towns by Q3 of 2017 with the BS IV compliant Multix variants.

Multix is a 3-in-1 personal utility vehicle catering to business, family and power generation needs of an independent businessman (an estimated population of 5.8 crore in India) residing in tier II and tier III towns. Multix is available in two variants, AX+ and MX priced at Rs 3.19 lakh and Rs3.49 lakh respectively (all prices pan India) and in four colors.
A five-seater Multix has a spacious cabin that can accomodate luggage. Multix can be adapted to create a larger storage space of 1918 liters. In just 3-minutes, the vehicle can be configured for seating a family to larger boot space in order to cater to the business needs of the consumer claims the company.
Built through extensive consumer study, the Multix is equipped with a Pro Ride, independent suspension system, which coupled with 170 mm ground clearance, delivers unmatched ride experience on all kinds of roads. Powered by a diesel engine, Multix gives a mileage of 28.45 kmpl. It has a unique tubular frame structure and roll-over protection system (ROPS) that provides structural stability. (ET Auto article)
